Instantaneous Velocity
Click "Go" to produce a motion diagram with 1 s intervals between successive tracks. "Zoom In" will expand a portion of the diagram between two 1s tracks to one in which the time interval is 0.1 s. Additional clicks will further expand the diagram to 0.01 s and 0.001 s between tracks. The spacing between successive tracks is indicative of the average velocity of the object. Note that as you zoom to smaller time intervals the average velocity gets closer to the instantaneous velocity.
