Instantaneous Velocity

A carefully drawn motion diagram, together with the time and distance scales, allows us to calculate the average velocity of the object over a given time interval. However, if the acceleration is constant, a carefully drawn motion diagram also allows us to calculate the object's instantaneous velocity at a given track by computing the average velocity between the tracks immediately before and immediately after the one of interest. Try it. (You can get instructions by clicking on the ? button.)
