• Make sure that you compare the motion diagram with the graph.
• The spacing between tracks of a motion diagram represents the magnitude of the displacement of the object, which can be found by subtracting the earlier position value from the later one.
• The spacing between tracks is proportional to the average velocity, and thus varies directly with the slope of a line segment joining the two positions on the position vs. time graph.
