Component Practice (Geometric)
When you click "Go", the applet draws a set of coordinate axes and a random vector (which could be a force, a velocity, an acceleration, or any other vector quantity). You are then asked to construct either the x- or y-component of the vector. (Click ? for instructions.) There are many possible combinations that you need to be familiar with, so don't quit too soon.
Note: What you are actually constructing is the component vector Fxî or Fyj, where Fx or Fy is the scalar component (which can be positive, negative, or zero) and î and j are unit vectors in the positive x and y directions, respectively. (j should have a ^ over it.)
